 Pet Name: Rhaynis Owner: daemonicdustbunnies Breed: Gnorbu About Rhaynis: The fog was thick in the air that night as a dark figure trudged leisurely along, whistling an eerie tune in between bites of his tchea fruit snack. The darkness and lack of visibility didn't bother him at all. He adored the spooky shadows and creepy clatter of trapped souls that were amplified by the atmosphere in the Haunted Woods. He just seemed at home amongst the ghouls and goblins that hobbled around him, skirting past his feet. He had lived in the Haunted Woods all his life, with his siblings Sketramin and Pheilamun, both of whom loved the supernatural almost as much as Rhaynis himself, though Sketramin took a more scientific approach while Pheilamun loved the natural and spiritual aspect. Rhaynis often wandered aimless about the forest, just observing and blending into his surroundings. It was far more interesting to take part in the ghoulish fun than to examine or study it. This night was no different, until he stumbled across a unique discovery. Rhaynis had seen many a trap door in the Haunted Woods, most filled with dark and sinister creatures of the night calling to innocent and naive travelers to set them free. This trapped door, however, was whimpering and shaking as though something very small had been lost in its gloomy passageway. Normally, he would have walked by, knowing it to be a trick, but he couldn't help but notice the quivering little nose that poked out of the crack between the boards. Rhaynis took another bite of the tchea fruit and watched as the little black nose stopped shaking and a small green tongue began to lick the air in an attempt to reach the juice that dribbled down his hand. "Aww, poor little guy," Rhaynis cooed, letting it lick his hand. "You must be hungry. Don't worry, I'll get you out of there." Setting the remaining fruit down, he began to pry at the boards. "Come on, break!" he grunted. He quickly scanned the area for a hatchet or some kind of tool he could use to break apart the boards. "Please don't worry. I'll get you out there," he called out as the creature began to whimper and cry. Thankfully, he spotted a pry bar behind one of the barrels. "This should do the trick!" Rhaynis carefully positioned it into the seams of the boards and began to wrench them apart. "Almost, GOT IT!" he exclaimed as the board splintered with a loud crack. "There you go..." The small creature lurched into his arms, knocking him over and cutting him off. Rhaynis chuckled. "You're welcome," he said, ruffling the little patches of fur on the mutant Gangee. "I think I'll name you Calcifer." Picking himself off the ground and handing the rest of his food to Calcifer, he trudged home merrily to show his siblings his new best friend.
