 Pet Name: Telecte Owner: danielleplicka Breed: Kacheek About Telecte: Who can say I don't love my homeland? Even if I did run away, I miss Shenkuu every day. I hang paper lanterns in my room and sometimes dress up in my old royal robes. And during the Shenkuu New Year, I arrange an entire celebration with my family to show them my old customs. I could always go back, but I don't want to run away again. I'm finally happy. I finally have the family I've always wanted, and I could never leave them, no matter how much I miss Shenkuu. But whenever I remember that day, my thoughts turn bitter. I just couldn't take it anymore. Being a Shenkuu royal wasn't what I wanted... You'd think I would have been spoiled and bowed down to, respected and arrogant. But I wasn't. Around the palace, I was treated like a puppet. And the day I finally gave in and left was no different... It had been a long day. I had all my usual classes, and I had just gotten back from my battling class and was cleaning up. It was also the night of the Shenkuu New Year; you'd think I would have been relieved from my classes that day. My head instructor came in my room as I was playing with my new faellie petpet. She was the closest family I had at the time. My instructor rudely yelled at me, telling me to get into my formal robes to prepare for the celebrations, as Shenkuu was expecting me. I retorted back to him, and he snapped at me, telling me if I didn't shape up he would take my stupid little pet away. That's when I broke. Tossing on my formal robes, I locked the door to my room, sighing. I knew it was only a matter of time before they really did take little Blizzard away, and I couldn't let them. She knew to follow me as I slipped out of the side window, stealthily slipping past guards and finally getting off of the palace grounds. I ran as fast as I could, because I knew they would start looking for me. As I reached the docks, I realized with horror I had forgotten some neopoints to buy myself a ticket onto one of the ships. So again, not even knowing how I managed to do it, I stealthily found my way onto one of them. I didn't know where it was going, and I didn't care. I took my seat on the side of the boat with the other passengers, cuddling Blizzard close to me. When I awoke, the ship was docking again. I yawned, content I had managed to sleep the entire journey away. The sun was just rising, and I had to squint my eyes to see where I had arrived. Dry-looking grass covered the ground, and orange berries covered the bushes. Orange and red leaves covered the trees, even though I was sure it was not autumn. Tall stone homes with dark orange rooftops lined the hillsides overlooking the docks. I blinked with disbelief. The boat had taken me to Altador. From there, the rest of my story laid itself out pretty well. Now I'm happy in my family that loves me, and I could never ask for more than that. But I will never forget Shenkuu...
