 Pet Name: gruelove Owner: 1251casey Breed: Gnorbu About gruelove: Since Gruelove can't type herself (no practical typing skills) I'm going to let you know a little about her. First, I'm her owner, Casey. I've been on Neopets a LONG time and Gruelove will forever be my shining star. She will also forever be a Mutant Gnorbu. (I even keep an extra Transmogrification Potion in my SDB just in case we run into Boochi.) I never thought my favorite pet would be a Gnorbu; all that silky hair and fur are not my style. They're usually a little full of themselves, spending all day in clover fields and looking into mirrors admiring their good looks. Not the kind of pet I usually go for. But that was before I met Gruelove. She a beaut? Inside and out. But it wasn't always this way. Gruelove never imagined herself as anything other than a White Grundo, until the day we had an accident with a Transmogrification Potion. Accident isn't really the word for it. I was selfishly after an avatar. I promised to change her back after I earned enough neopoints for a Grundo morphing potion. She knew I meant it and was willing to help. Needless to say, her galactic self changed for a more. . . interesting look. At first she tried to enjoy her new species. She tried to 'fit in' with the other Gnorbus. Without a silky mane and colorful fur she found herself too upset at her 'different look' to join in when the Gnorbus would gather in the fields. She started to become depressed and withdrawn. Feeling different than others made her shy. Gruelove began to spend a lot of time alone. But that's when good fortune found her. In her solitude, she found that the fungus between the folds of her skin was, actually, kinda tasty. She found that with the new infestation of parasites, she was never alone. She began to enjoy her new self. She's one tough cookie. We train to defend Neopia from evil plots and evil doers. We never go looking for trouble, but if there's a threat to Neopia, she has no problem joining the fight. Gruelove's such a good pet that I do all I can for her. I try to collect backgrounds for all of Gruelove's favorite places. So far we have the dung caves, the rubble pile, and of course her cheese room. (Gruelove is not trying to hide her odor, but rather enjoys the way she smells and visiting places as. . . odorous as she is!) We sit in her cheese room while I put lotion on her. Just because she's a mutant doesn't mean she ignores her outward appearance. Gruelove loves a good grooming and massage. And without all that fur and hair, it only takes a few minutes! Bonus! We have decided to show the world the true beauty of Mutant Gnorbus. That's why we enter the Beauty Contest. So far we have won a silver and a bronze trouphy. We've even won gold. Gruelove does not want for much. But she does have one thing she cannot yet have but longs for! She hopes of someday being able to wear customized clothing. Actually not everything, just a lovely pair of dung wings. She dreams of soaring through the sky with her flying friends. Gruelove no longer wants to be anything but a mutant Gnorbu. And I will never selfishly ask her to change again. (Even for an avatar.) I know that even though a pet may be a little stinky, be somewhat oddly shaped, and lack practical typing skills, that pet can still be your very own shining star.
