 Pet Name: Svadhishthana Owner: ktkdk Breed: Mynci About Svadhishthana: Paper lanterns sway above the streets of the market and the smell of exotic spices wafts through the air. The entire market buzzes with conversation – peddlers hawking their wares, customers haggling, and friends chatting as they shop. This is your first visit to Shenkuu, and you find the entire street market experience a bit overwhelming. You inspect the items at each stall with curiosity. A shopkeeper selling cheap morphing potions particularly catches your eye. You inspect the wares closely, trying simultaneously to assess their quality and choose which you want to buy. While you are distracted, a neopet runs by so quickly that he is reduced to a blur, taking your wallet with him! You stand there, shocked into inaction. Before you can gather yourself and decide what to do next, a young Mynci appears. She is willowy and is wearing traditional Shenkuuvian garb, a lovely dark pink kimono. She wears her dark purple hair unusually short for a girl but adds a pink flower for an extra touch of femininity. "Don't you worry! I'll have that back for you in three beats of a draphly's wings," she exclaims quickly before hiking up her kimono a bit and running off in the direction of the bandit. Although she looks slightly fragile, she runs uncommonly quickly. Then, before your eyes, she takes a bamboo pole from one of the merchants and launches herself into the air, grabbing a clothesline when she reaches the peak of her trajectory. She scrambles on top of the line and nimbly walks across to the roof of the closest building, using the pole for balance. Once she reaches her destination, she throws the pole back down to the flabbergasted merchant and takes off at a sprint. You are very impressed and sit down to wait for her return. Before too long, you see her weaving her way through the crowd at the market, your wallet in hand. When she arrives at your side, she hardly seems tired. She simply hands you the wallet and says, "I think all your money should still be in there." You check and she is right. After such an impressive act of kindness and athleticism, you feel the need to give her some money. But she absolutely refuses. "At least let me buy you some tea," you begin, "maybe get to know the Mynci who saved my wallet a little better. I don't even know your name!" "A good green tea is my weakness," she says with a smile. "By the way, my full name is pretty long and complicated. You can call me Thana." Soon you are settled in the closest tea house with two steaming mugs in front of you. She insists that you take a seat by the window. Although it seems a bit strange, you comply. The second you are settled, you exclaim, "How did you learn to do that!?" "You mean how I saved your wallet? Well, I've been spending a bit of time at the training school ever since I started living with ktkdk, but I hope to train even more in the future. Plus, I've lived in Shenkuu all my life. I know every street and shortcut. But part of it just comes naturally to me. Everyone knows that Myncies love climbing!" You nod. You are awkwardly silent for almost a full minute as she gulps down her tea in a rather unladylike fashion. Once she pauses, you ask, "So what do you do for fun?" "This!" she replies simply. "Well, not drinking tea. Mostly I wander around the city looking for folks in trouble. I like to help out when I can. It doesn't pay well but at the same time, it is rewarding." "How honorable," you say with admiration "Not entirely," Thana replies with a laugh, "Part of it is just fun!" She suddenly becomes visibly upset as she stares out the window. "What's wrong?" you ask. "Sorry, buddy. Got to go! Duty calls." She points to a distraught looking Chomby standing outside before standing up and running out the door. She yells back to you, "He needs my help." You are sad to see her go so suddenly. You didn't even have the chance to say thank you and goodbye! But even though your meeting was brief, you are left with the strong impression that you just met an exceptional neopet.
