 Petpet Name: Mutt Owner: pikemaster1 Pet Name: Mara_Seishouhen Breed: Zomutt About Mutt: Deep within the Haunted Woods, a Zomutt mother nudged her pups before she set off on a hunting expedition. Not long after she left, one of the pups clumsily stumbled away in another direction, following the mesmerising glow of a Lightmite's tail. She bounded through the forest; the constant noise made the Petpetpet too startled for it to land...Until... "YIP!" The pup squealed; she had caught herself in a bramble patch. Thorns pricked at her pelt and nose. The pain made her writhe with discomfort and yelp for help. Each twitch further ensnared the Petpet; however, she paused momentarily to watch her playmate buzz off. The yellow light was soon lost in the tangle of tree branches and leaves. After hours of frantic struggle, the pup had lost her hope. She whined softly with fear and hunger and wished that her mother were there to rescue her. Suddenly, she pricked her ears to a rustle in the thicket. The pup cried earnestly to whatever was there. A stern-faced grey Techo emerged from the brush, his attention immediately on the trapped Zomutt pup. "Got yourself in quite a mess, huh?" The Techo muttered to the pup while he drew his sword from its sheath. He sat down next to the Petpet and began to carefully cut away at the brambles. The Zomutt barked with enthusiasm as the Techo finished snipping the last few thorns. He stood back, re-sheathed his sword, and admired his work. The pup dashed around the Neopet's feet, her tail wagged in a playful manner. "Well. Guess I'll take a rest here for a bit. Maybe your mom or something will show up.." The Techo flopped onto the ground and leaned on a tree, waiting. The pup stared at him with bright eyes and hanging tongue. The Neopet passed the time by cleaning his sword with an old rag; the Petpet passed the time by chasing and nipping at his tail. More hours passed; the Techo stood up and stretched his arms. "Well," he looked at the pup, "guess you're on your own now. I can't spend my entire day here. I have other things to do." He began to walk away, but the Zomutt followed and whined. "Look," he turned his face to the pup, "you need to stay here, find your family." He tried to step away, but the pup barked and stared at him with soft, pleading eyes. The Techo sighed. "Fine," he scoffed, "you can come with me... Mutt" The dreadful tone on the name showed regret in his decision. The Techo turned on his heels and sauntered away, a blissful little Zomutt named Mutt shadowing his every step. That was years ago -- now Seis and Mutt travel Neopia helping anyone caught in a bad situation. Seis has trained the Zomutt in the ways of self-defence, a valuable asset in case they should come across any monsters. He still calls her "Mutt," but now he says it with empathy and appreciation. Seis believes that saving her from the brambles was the best thing that ever happened to him. He no longer regrets the Zomutt's addition to his life.
