The story of the mythical Forgotten Faerie's Vale- a place that has no coordinations or map-markers. Those who have claimed to visit the fabled glade say they found it only by accident, surely it cannot be real. The stories say that its located behind a waterfall, and in order to get there you must pass through tight, compact Spyder-infested caverns until you start to see a luminescent blue glow shining from out of the darkness. You're met with twisted, dark thorned vines as you follow the light out of the shadows and finally you see it; a beauty like none-other. It's like a whole new world with enormous trees that tower up until you see nothing but blackness. Elaborate glowing homes in said trees line the branches above, while the ground is home to multiple unknown species of incandescent plants and fungi- even strange petpets never before seen. At least, this is what the Kacheek adventurer named Gian said he saw when he found the Vale by pure accident. He was claimed "missing" by his friends after he had strayed from their group, in fact, it was a whole week before any trace of him was seen again. When returned, he spouted on and on about the mysterious Vale and how all the tales were true. The most interesting thing he claimed to have seen however, was not the undiscovered flora and fauna, but someone he referred to as The Prince of the Vale. "He was a pale Gelert." Gian went on, " I thought him to be Faerie at first, but his wings were... very strange. Dark, in a sense." The Prince met him with open arms and introduced himself by the name of Solerel. He wore an exquisite blue hooded robe that draped down to the ground and was embroidered with silver, shining leaves. Gian says that Solerel welcomed him with ease and told him that the Vale hardly got visitors. He showed the Kacheek many breath-taking sights, including a giant blue tree that Solerel referred to as "the great one". Apparently, the Vale is safeguarded by a peculiar Faerie named Vervain. When Gian asked to meet with her, Solerel became quite silent. "He said the Faerie wasn't to be seen by anyone at this time, that she had many duties to attend to." The Kacheek sighed, "Quite unfortunate, really. I would've loved to meet her." Another thing that Gian noticed about the strange Vale were the many stone statues placed ever so oddly around the glade. Highly detailed ones too, as he could see every little neatly crafted sculpt. Solerel said that it was once home to many artisans and craftsmen, and that they all had left- leaving their works behind. Gian sat forwards in his seat, "It felt very lonely there, and perhaps the reason Solerel was so welcoming to me was that he was so desperate for company." When he realized that his friends must be looking for him, he said goodbye to the Gelert prince and the mysterious Faerie's Vale and set off to find them. When he did, he ecstatically told them about his journey and urged them to come with him to see it. However, when they followed Gian's footsteps back to the entrance, it was gone. "It was almost as if the Vale was sealed!" He exclaimed, "Everyone thought I was pulling a joke on them, but it was quite the opposite. I didn't know what to think.." Gian said that he has tried to visit the Vale again, but with no success. Either he's telling the truth that the entrance has been sealed, or perhaps he had imagined the whole thing- including the mysterious Vale Prince.
