About Izianta:
My name is Izianta.

The deep sea remembers me.

It is where I came from, after all, and where I'll eventually come home to, when the story draws to an end.

I now live near the shore, where I can observe the rocky beaches and Neopets that venture into the waves. I watch, I learn, and I protect.

I used to be near invisible in between the flow of water. Neopets and Petpets would come and go, never seeming to notice me. I often found myself wondering if I was doomed to live a lonely life, away from everyone else. It wasn't that I didn't want company — the opposite was true, after all.

There was a Lutra once, who approached me on a sunny day. ''I always see you watching the beach,'' she had told me.

''You do?'' I asked, baffled.

''Yes. I was curious, you know… You do look a little sad most of the time.''

''I suppose I am. It gets rather lonely. I wish I was able to walk on land… If I belonged, that would make me happy, I'm sure.''

''I don't belong either.''

I startled at her admission. ''And that doesn't bother you? You don't seem upset at all.''

''Just because nobody else sees your worth, doesn't mean you aren't worth anything.''

After that, the Lutra decided to keep me company every once in a while. For days, weeks, I considered myself happy whenever she visited me. I thought this to be true happiness, relying on a friend instead of on myself.

Which was why, when she left to travel the seas, I felt like an outcast once again.

But something changed one day — or night, to be precise. That night, after the sun had disappeared behind the horizon, the marks on my body had lit up. Golden light, illuminating all that was around me, like I was my own personal sun. It was truly a sight to behold. Surely someone had to notice me now?

For once, I felt like the center of attention, the only light in the darkness. As stunning as the moon, impossible as that sounded.

I waited and waited… For hours, I drifted between the waves, close to the shore, and yet nobody was there to see me shine. I thought there couldn't be a worse fate than that, shining but not being seen.

And then I realized something I had not before. This light, this beauty, the one I carried within myself, wasn't meant to be boasted with. It was meant to exist, yes, but kept inside myself as a reminder to stay true to what I believed in.

Beauty from inside shines brighter than anything else, no matter if it is acknowledged or not.

It is this message that I want to pass onto those who are willing to listen.

I love the waves, for that is what I belong to.

I love observing, for that is what I do best.

But most of all: I love myself, for that is what I have learned.

My name is Izianta.
