Pet Name: Zwollenaar
Owner: annamaroulaki4
Breed: Blumaroo

About Zwollenaar:
It’s been over half an hour since your ship docked at Virtupets Orbital Space Station #4, and the guards still haven’t allowed you or your crew to leave the hangar. Ever since Dr. Sloth, security has been very high at Virtupets, for good reason. The guards are very thorough; paper checking, question asking, body searching et cetera. You don’t mind the delay that much; after all, your appointment won’t be expecting you for another hour.
One of the guards speaks into his radio, then walks up to you. He hands you your papers back. “Your identifications say you’re a journalist?” he checks.
“Yes. With the Neopian Times,” you reply.
“Thank you for your cooperation. You are free to pass. If you need to know anything, there are informational interfaces you can access on any floor.”
You thank the guard and make your way to the elevator, followed by your crew who are carrying equipment. You reach out for the button to call the elevator down, but your hand lingers as you hear a faint whirring noise. The elevator arrives, the door slides open and a strange Techo with a mohawk walks out, rudely knocking into you in the process. “Hey!” you call out, but the stranger completely ignores your existence and disappears between the docked spaceships.
“Please excuse her,” says a voice all of a sudden, and you turn to the elevator again. A Blumaroo in a spacesuit is standing before you. “Her manners are a little… unrefined.”
“That’s an understatement,” you retort, carefully straightening your outfit.
“I haven’t seen you around here. Are you a visitor?” The Blumaroo asks. You look up to her and finally observe her better. She’s quite tall, with dark blue hair pulled up into a messy ponytail, a spotted complexion and shiny, beady black eyes. She stands proud and straight, and her posture somehow matches the slightly interrogative tone in her voice. You notice she’s wearing a small, discreet badge with a triangle on her suit; it looks vaguely familiar, but you can’t quite put your finger on it.
“Yes, I am. Are you with security here?” you ask.
“You could say that,” the Blumaroo responds, slightly cryptically. “Rayas, Zwollenaar.” She extends a hand, and you take it. She has a very firm handshake.
“Nice to meet you, ma’am.”
“Are ya done socializing, Naar? Ship won’t fly out by herself!” The ill-mannered Techo calls out from afar. You see the Blumaroo blush.
“Fly out? You are a pilot, then?” you ask.
“Yes,” Zwollenaar replies.
“That sounds very exciting!” You remark. “I am a journalist with the Neopian Times. I happen to be here for a story, but I would love to meet up and interview you, if you’d be so inclined.” You hand the Blumaroo a professional card.
“That’s very flattering, but I don’t think I’m really that interesting,” Zwollenaar says modestly.
“Please, I’m certain our readers would absolutely love to read your story about piloting a spaceship.” You peek at your watch. You should get going; you need to find the Grundos Café and set up your equipment. “I’m afraid I need to go, ma’am. But please consider my offer.”
“Thank you, but I don’t think it’s for me.” Zwollenaar replies kindly and heads off to her ship.
You and your crew step into the elevator. You press the button for the Recreation Deck and you look outside at the Blumaroo walking away. As the door slides shut, it suddenly hits you what the badge she was wearing was—
Virtupets Resistance.
The Blumaroo belongs to the Resistance!
Your interest is piqued. If you wanted an interview with her before, now you absolutely need it. You just have to meet her again and convince her to let you interview her.
And if she won’t be convinced… Well, there are always other ways you can get your story.
