At the moment we have several positions open in the Los Angeles area (Glendale), in addition to other locations. You must be at least 18 years old and live in or be willing to relocate to whichever area the job-posting specifies. Position: Spring 2009 Internship!
We're surprised by the number of emails we get letting us know you love Neopets so much that you'd work for us for free! Well here is your chance - Get great experience working in the Virtual Gaming industry and come intern with us!

This is a non-paid program. To be eligible students must be enrolled in a credited internship course, and must present proof of that course credit. Students must be 18 years of age or older, in college (freshman or above), and be available to intern 16-30 hours per week. Internships are based in Glendale California. Please don't apply if you aren't going to be in Southern California during the spring semester.

Position: E-Mail Support
Neopets seeks an E-Mail Support Representative to work in our team of over 100 full-time professionals. Responsibilities include responding to member inquiries and concerns using our web-based e-mail and administrative system. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm. Experience with computers, the Internet, and sending e-mails required. Must type 60+ wpm and have knowledge of customer service. Position: Korean Content Coordinator
Our International Site Operations department is in need of a full-time Korean Content Coordinator, whose main duties will include the translation of new site content from English into Korean, to be released on the Neopets.com Korean-language edition site. Duties also include managing user-submitted online contests for the Korean site, providing basic email support, and also monitoring Korean user board activity as needed. This is a full-time, in-office staff position. The Korean Content Coordinator position is based at the NeoPets, Inc. office in Glendale, California. Work days are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of previous English to Korean translation experience.
- Well-versed in the culture(s) associated with the Korean language.
- Ability to translate into Korean using language appropriate to the youth segment.
- Basic knowledge of web localization, Photoshop and HTML highly desirable.
- BA in English, Linguistics or a foreign language preferred.

Position: Translators
Our International Site Operations department is in need of part-time freelance French, German, Dutch, and Portuguese Translators, whose main duties will be the translation of new content from English into their target language, to be released on the Neopets French-, German-, Dutch-, or Portuguese-language edition sites. These are part-time freelance positions. Hours will vary based on current business needs, but will average 10 hours or more per week. Work hours (day/night) are flexible, but many tasks will have strict deadlines. Training will be provided at the NeoPets, Inc. offices for translators who live in the Los Angeles area. Other arrangements will be made for translators residing elsewhere. Following training, work will be performed from home. Requirements: Minimum 1 year of English-to-French, English-to-German, English-to-Dutch or English-to-Portuguese translation experience required. Applicants must be well-versed in the culture(s) associated with the target language, and possess the ability to translate using language appropriate to the youth segment. Basic knowledge of web localization, Photoshop and HTML is highly desirable, and a BA in English, Linguistics or a foreign language is preferred. Candidates located on the West Coast are preferred.
